Our Teacher's Birthday

It was our teacher's birthday and the planning was in full flow. We had created a special WhatsApp group with 500 messages a minute and we were still alloting roles one day before the birthday. I had to do the poem, someone had to do the speech, another one the piano, someone the PPT, someone the video and someone the collage. Moms and kids alike were going crazy. They kept changing the time because so many people had classes. Then we started wondering if our teacher will be free. Then we started wondering who was going to keep the link (It was a virtual party). Then we were doing so many meetings it became a bit boring. Finally, we agreed on a time: 7 20. Then finally the day of the birthday came. We agreed that we will come 5 minutes early and name ourselves as different teachers of our school. Our mam was speechless when she realized what we had been doing. My poem was first up so I had practiced how to say it. My poem went like this:-

Happy Birthday Radhika Ma'am,
You are ever so nice
You're teaching is so fun we feel,
You're an angel in disguise.

History and Civics would be boring,
If it weren't for you
Indus Valley Civilisations and Early Humans
Would not have been made fun even with storybooks

English Language, English Literature,
It's so confusing
But with your sweet, calm and patient voice
We understand everything

Geography is full of maps
Full of things so annoying
But with your videos you put so much effort into
We understand everything

Thank you ma'am for everything
You're the best teacher ever
Thanks for all the things you do for us
We'll remember you forever

After I recited my poem, the rest of us recited their things and we cut a (fake) cake and we talked a bit and the party was over. Finally the WhatsApp group would dissolve. No more 1000 messages a minute.
