This week, an English Elocution was held in my school and I chose to participate. Like every year, my parents and I racked our brains about which poem to recite. Honestly, we were going mad, what with the, elocution, notebook submission, extra projects, approaching exams, god knows what! Last year, in the English Elocution, one of the participants had written his own poem and he ended up getting the first prize !! So my Dad came up with a great idea (his best idea yet)- how about writing my own poem. So now we had to figure which poem to write. One week before the elocution, my father and I were walking in the garden and we came up with 7 paragraphs. So we decided that we would go down to the garden and write the poem because it helps us concentrate. So, 3 days before the elocution, we went down again to write the remaining three paragraphs. It is said that learning never stops. And now I know why -because there is something new to learn every day. From a newborn child to a 100-year-old person, success is in the little things that we do every day. Learning is also very important as new knowledge is created every day and because we have to grow up and learn new things. We can't just stay the same age forever and say that I am too young to learn all this or we can't just be like now I am out of college now I have nothing to learn. Many people have different ideas on what to learn such as I want to learn how to make new crafts, how to write a book and publish it, art, some random points by reading fiction stories. Some people may be wanting to learn things like how to cook or how to write an essay. But now the question is why I want to learn and what is the benefit. Many of us will be thinking my talent for cooking is not used in the world or my talent for reading is not used in the world but everything has a benefit. Not a while ago I was thinking that craft is not used in the world but now I know it is also used in architecture etc. And even the points I wrote above can have a benefit - reading helps me escape from this danger-filled world and I get transferred into another world, writing books help me better my vocabulary and imagine new stuff, my craft can also be used as a gift idea and with my crafts, my family and I both become happy. I love colorful things and it makes me happy. So now we know everything has a benefit, even the screen time. There are some good websites too, such as Whiz Kids. In Whiz Kids we could choose 4 courses and I chose Filmora, Screencast-o-Matic, Youtube, and Blogger. They were very fun and I actually enjoyed doing it. I guess everything has a first time.
